‘The Last Cut Is The Deepest' is certainly not a kiss ‘n tell book, it's much more than that, it's a deep insight into a troubled woman. Alicia's early life was traumatic… abuse, humiliation, dyslexia, epilepsy, a horrific glass attack that required 31 stitches in her face, rape, self harming and suicide attempts.
As soon as Alicia had her first breast enhancement operation on the NHS, she knew the operations would continue and she anticipated changing from an ‘ugly duckling' into a beautiful swan. She set out on a quest for beauty and began mixing in the pubs and clubs of London 's West End frequented by the rich and famous and before long, inevitably, she began dating footballer Dwight Yorke, Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall and Simon Cowell. But each time love eluded her and she became more and more unhappy with life and in particular her looks and her body.
She has had surgery on her breasts, cheeks, nose, lips, stomach and buttocks and undergone derma abrasion which literally involves sandpapering the skin on the face. She has had chin implants, cheek implants, breast implants, buttock implants and even operations on her toes. Alicia nearly died under the surgeon's knife when an implant operation went terribly wrong.
But Alicia has survived, she has fought her demons and showed an incredible fighting spirit and a determination to give a safe and secure environment for her daughter Georgia, providing a lifestyle and love that Alicia never had.
Alicia has been a dancer, singer, glamour model and actress and her career has taken her all over the world and into relationships with the likes of Jack Nicholson, P Diddy and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Her quite incredible heroics during the devastating Tsunami of 2004 is well detailed in the book and typifies her resolve and strength of character.
It is only by reading Alicia's book that you will begin to understand what drove her to the lifestyle she cannot now control and what causes her to return to the surgeon's knife again and again.
A heartbreaking tale of a single mother's struggle against all the odds. |
